Topeak introduces brilliant solutions MoonShine bicycle lights, new for 2004

The MoonShine HID is based on High Intensity Discharge technology. The super lightweight light uses Solarc, the brightest bulb in the market. It mounts to handlebars and helmets with included mounts and strapping systems, and it can strap to the head with an optional headband.

The MoonShine HID is powered with a lithium ion rechargeable battery and ramps up to full power in just two to three hours. The light switches between 7W and 10W to accommodate for oncoming traffic. This powerful little light measures just 3"x1.6"x2.1" and weighs 370 grams with the battery installed.

Quick release clamp and bracket make for easy use when the light is mounted to either the bicycle handlebar or to the rider's helmet or head. The MoonShine HID adjusts vertically easily and pivots 15 degrees laterally. This versatile, quick-charge, long-running light can be used for riding, hiking or climbing.

And for the best in dedicated cycle-mounted lights, Topeak introduces the MoonShine Highlight combination horn and light for 2004. This is a multi-function wireless remote controlled light system. It uses two Ultra bright white lights and a 2.4W Halogen light, powered either by rechargeable Ni-MH batteries or AA batteries. The light is available either with or without the rechargeable accessories.

For road safety, the MoonShine Highlight includes a built-in horn to warn pedestrians, motorists and other cyclists of the rider's position. And the wireless remote system makes everything simple and convenient. The light also comes with a quick release handlebar mounting system. The mounting angle adjusts up to 360 degrees vertically and 20 degrees laterally.

The Highlight measures a cool 4.6" x 2.2" x 2.6" and weighs just 100 grams without the batteries.
